You can search for classes
- from the
button on the Student Center, or
- from the Class Search tab on the enrollment pages,
, or
- from the Class Search/Browse Catalog link under the Enrollment submenu, or
- during the first step of adding or swapping a class,
.
Starting outside the add or swap functions,

you need to first select a term, , and select either or , then click .
The option allows you to browse by course title.

If you need course description detail, use the Registrar's website catalog rather than the PeopleSoft catalog.
Click on the View Class Sections link to see available sections.
The option allows you to search by criteria.

You must use at least 2 criteria. If you want to view closed as well as open sections, uncheck , but you need two other criteria if you uncheck this. Click the arrow in for more criteria.

After selecting your criteria, click .
Class Search results display from either the or search route.

Class Search results list meeting times and rooms, instructors, and open or closed status. To see whether a course is instructor consent or to see prerequisites, click the section link .

Any prerequisites or instructor or department consent will be listed under the Enrollment Information section. If no Enrollment Information displays, the course does not require consent or prerequisites (check the catalog description, since not all prerequisites are system enforced.)
You can also search for classes from either the Add or Swap enrollment tabs.

Click and search on criteria as above.

Check for the open status and click the section link to check for instructor consent or prerequisites. Click to select the section to add.
