You can search for classes
- from the
button on the Student Center, or
- from the Class Search tab on the enrollment pages,
, or
- from the Class Search/Browse Catalog link under the Enrollment submenu, or
- during the first step of adding a class to your wish list,
.
Starting from the Class Search tab on the Enrollment pages,

The term should default to Fall 2008, . Select either or , then click .
The option allows you to browse by course title.

If you need course description detail, use the Registrar's website catalog rather than the PeopleSoft catalog.
Click on the View Class Sections link to see available sections.
The option allows you to search by criteria.

You must use at least 2 criteria. You want to view closed as well as open sections, so uncheck , but you need two other criteria if you uncheck this. Click the arrow in for more criteria.

After selecting your criteria, click .
Class Search results display from either the or search route.

Class Search results list meeting times and rooms, instructors, and open or closed status. Incoming first-year students should select the section wanted, even if the section is closed. To check prerequisites or distribution attributes, click the section link .

Prerequisites (Enrollment Requirements) are not enforced during the first pass of first-year preregistration, but take note of any prerequisites listed to be sure that you have the appropriate background. Check prerequisites in the printed or website course description also; not all prerequisites are enforced in PeopleSoft, but should be noted if listed in the course description.
The Class Attributes list how the course will count toward the college distribution requirements. The course in this example will fulfill both a Division 2 and QFR course requirement.

Click and search on criteria as above.

Click the section link to check for prerequisites and class attributes. Click to select the section to add.
