HIST 205 Europe from Reformation to Revolution: 1500-1815 (Not offered 1998-99)

Major historical developments in Western Europe during the early modern period. Emphasis will be on European-wide developments such as the Protestant and Catholic Reformations; the seventeenth-century crisis in government and society; the rise of absolutist states; the maturation of the aristocratic ancien regime; the Enlightenment; the French Revolution and Napoleonic Europe.
