ENVI 308 Environmental Policy (Same as Political Science 308) (Not offered 1998-99; to be offered 1999-2000)
Pollution of the environment and uses of natural resources raise questions of governance. Those questions, and possible answers, draw upon science, technology, economics, politics, and human values. This course examines the social processes by which human societies grasp the challenges and scientific uncertainties of their own intervention into nature. Prerequisite: Environmental Studies 101 or permission of the instructor.
