ENVI 214 Geographic Information Systems (Same as Geosciences 214) (Not offered 1998-99; to be offered 1999-2000)
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are computer programs used to combine
information from diverse sources to produce maps. This course introduces
students to the concepts and methods of spatial analysis and the way they
are used in GIS applications from a variety of fields of study. Lectures
and discussion, three hours per week; GIS labs, three hours per week.
Evaluation will be based on lab work, hour exams, and a final project.
