A study of chamber music, trios, quartets, quintets as performed world-wide today. Emphasis is on listening and identification of works currently in repertoire, from the eighteenth century to the present, in conjunction with concert attendance. Two lectures per week. Evaluation will be based on several listening quizzes or short exams, a paper based on research or listening, and/or a final exam.
