MATH 403 Real Analysis II (Not offered 1997-98)
Real analysis plays a central role in contemporary mathematics. This course includes measure spaces, Lebesgue integration, Hilbert space techniques, point set topology, and spectral theory. It provides good preparation for graduate work in pure or applied mathematics, statistics, or economics. Evaluation will be based primarily on homework, projects, and exams. Prerequisite: Mathematics 301, or 305 and permission of instructor.
