MATH 306(F) Chaotic Dynamics and Fractals

This course is an introduction to dynamical systems, chaos and fractal geometry. The topics will include bifurcations, the quadratic family, symbolic dynamics, chaos, iterative function systems, fractal sets, dynamics of linear systems, and some complex dynamics. Evaluation will be based on performance on homework, exams, and a final project. Prerequisites: Mathematics 211.
