Lawrence's Sons and Lovers, James Joyce's Dubliners and A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Ford Madox Ford's The Good Soldier, E. M. Forster's A Passage to India, Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse. Requirements: two 4- to 5-page papers, a scheduled final exam, and regular, active participation in class discussions.
