BIMO 406(S) Topics in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
This course involves a critical reading, analysis, and discussion of papers
from the current biochemistry and molecular biology literature. Specific
topics vary from year to year but are chosen to illustrate the importance
of a wide range of both biological and chemical approaches to addressing
important questions in the biochemical and molecular biological fields.
Evaluation will be based on class discussions and presentations, several
short papers, and a final paper.
Lecture and discussion, three hours a week.
Prerequisites: Biology 202 and BIMO 321. Can be counted as the senior seminar
required of those students completing the biology major.
Enrollment limited to 12. Preference will be given to those completing the
BIMO program; open to others with permission of instructor.
