MATH 306 Chaos and Fractals (Not offered 2006-2007; to be offered 2007-2008) (Q)
This course is an introduction to chaotic dynamical systems. The topics will
include bifurcations, the quadratic family, symbolic dynamics, chaos, dynamics
of linear systems, and some complex dynamics.
Format: lecture. Evaluation will be based on performance on homework and
exams.
Prerequisites: Mathematics 211. No enrollment limit (expected: 15).
