LGST 101(S) Processes of Adjudication
This court offers an overview of America’s legal system, including the historical and constitutional underpinnings of American law; the jury system; the legal profession; the adversary system; and the intersection of law and various other disciplines including psychology, sociology, history, political science, and philosophy.
Format: lecture/discussion. Evaluation will be based on a final exam, many short papers, and class participation.
No prerequisites. Enrollment limit: 40 (expected: 40). Preference to first-years and sophomores who are considering a concentration in Legal Studies.
