Waterball

This is a video of the bursting of a water balloon. Elastic energy stored as the rubber in the balloon stretches. Although the pressure inside the balloon is slightly higher than outside it is not nearly high enough to compress the water inside. When the balloon is pricked, the rubber rips and shrinks back to its equilibrium size while the water inside the balloon remains motionless. The resultant water ball then falls under the influence of gravity.
