I am currently on sabbatical leave as a research member of the MSRI program in Tropical Geometry along with being a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley for 2009-2010.

My work revolves around algebraic and combinatorial structures in topology and geometry. A good amount of inspiration comes from real moduli spaces of curves, along with their tiling polytopes. Computational geometric ideas, such as triangulations, origami, and cartography interest me, especially as they appear in the areas of configuration spaces and phylogenetics. Underneath my mathematical framework lies a strong desire for art and proper visualization of information.
