Voices
Introduction
Voices is a WCBP theater group. It uses interactive theater as a means to explore issues of diversity with the First-Year class. The material that the troupe uses is derived from individual student experiences and provides a framework for discussion with First-Year entries.
Details
Voices occurs during First Days, the general orientation for incoming First-Year students. The presentation usually takes place in the '62 Center for Theater and Dance, and is followed by a speaker on diversity. First-Year entries are encouraged to engage in entry discussions following the presentation. Voices is usually one and a half to two hours long. Additionally, later in the year Fresh Voices takes place with performances by only First-Year students.
Records
The Multicultural center has videos of Voices performances going back several years at Jenness. E-mail Marcela to find out about borrowing a tape.
