American School of Classical Studies at Athens

Arcadia University Center for Study Abroad, summer program

Four-week sessions in Greece and in Italy. The Italian programs include ones in Florence, Perugia, and Rome.

The Aegean Institute

One and three-week courses in Aegean archaeology, a rich variety of activities on both land and water (and under the water). Information on the summer program.

College Year At Athens

CYA offers a summer study-travel program as well as summer college-level courses in Athens and on the island of Paros. Both have rolling admissions until April 1.

Summer Intensive Language Programs

City University of New York, Latin/Greek Institute

Ten-week intensive session equals 2 1/2 to 3 years of college Greek or Latin. Advanced Greek is also offered. Team-taught by faculty members who are on call 24 hours a day; well-known for its effectiveness! Get information from the Institute's website.

UCLA, Summer Sessions in Greek, Latin, and Classical Civilization.

Includes intensive ten-week courses that cover all of first-year Greek or first-year Latin. Many other languages are offered as well, as listed on the summer intensives webpage.

University of Chicago, Intensive Language Study for Visiting Students

Mid-June through August. Latin and Greek at the introductory and intermediate levels, plus classical Hebrew and elementary Hittite. Get tuition and application information from the program's website.
