Family Weekend Multi-faith Service

Soundings All are welcome.

A multi-faith exploration of the sounds that connect us to the Divine

Despite the religious and spiritual diversity of the Williams community - and of the human family - opportunities to pray and reflect together, side by side, in the midst of our differences, are few and far between.

Each fall during Family Weekend, the Chaplains' Office produces a multi-faith experience of worship and reflection that brings together students and pieces of tradition from all across the beautiful spiritual spectrum of our community.

This year's service offers an opportunity to listen to the sounds by which many of the world's religious and spiritual traditions are connected to the Divine.  We'll listen with respect and reverence to voices of faith which are an essential part of the voice of Williams: chant, drumming, dance, choral harmony, and recitation.

Parents and students, friends and family, of any tradition or no tradition, are most welcome.

Participants include:

The Williams College Chamber Choir; Williams Catholic Music Ministry;  Gospel Choir; Dance Dhamaka; and student members of Kusika, the Jewish Association, the Muslim Student Union, and others.
