Background

Home-grown in Williamstown. A member of the first graduating class (1967) that went through all six years at Mount Greylock Regional High School. Attended classes at both North Adams State and Berkshire Community College. Worked part-time at the snack bar and recorded meal chits on ledger sheets (before it was computerized!) for Williams College. Co-owner (with husband, Dennis) of garden-shop on own property for eight years, before working nine years as a secretary for the Special Needs Department at Drury High School. Started full-time at Williams in 1987. Spouse works as a design document specialist at General Dynamics in Pittsfield. Interests include gardening, reading, traveling, and singing. One son, Chris, and grandson, Alex age 15, in Woodbridge, Virginia; one daughter, Colleen and one grand-daughter, Kayla Ann, age 10, and one grandson, Michael Patrick, 4, in Fountain, CO..
