Activity & Conference Funding

Funding is available from the Center for Environmental Studies to support activities organized by individual students or by student organizations. These events may include lectures, workshops, film presentations, or other environmentally related events.

CES also will consider requests for funding from students wishing to attend conferences or meetings away from Williams. No more than 50% of conference registration fees will be provided by CES except under special circumstances. CES may also be able to provide a college car for transportation to such events. Information about CES conference funding can be found here.

Funding requests must be made in writing to Sarah Gardner , the CES Assistant Director. Applications for funding should include a description of the event, a budget, and a listing of any funding already secured. Please make requests several weeks in advance of the event. No funding requests will be accepted for events that have already taken place.

Information regarding CES funding for summer internships, research, and creative endeavors can be found here.
