On Friday March 3 nine Biology alumni currently in graduate school or in post-doctoral research positions were invited back to campus to share their educational and research experiences with our current students. The event was jointly sponsored by the BIMO Program and the Biology Department's Class of 1960 Scholars Programs. The alumni represented'sfields of research ranging from molecular biology, neurobiology, development, ecology, evolution, bioinformatics

At a 2:30PM panel discussion the alumni/ae answered questions students had about research careers--telling students about research experiences they had while at Williams, and offering advice on deciding to go to grad school, choosing a graduate school, etc.

The remainder of the afternoon was spent at a poster session in the Science Atrium: Returning alumni/ae hung around their posters showing off their latest research and continue discussions begun during the panel discussion. It was a casual come-and-go-as-you-please type of event.
