Through my teaching, I strive to create an enthusiasm which
will lead my students into a personal search that is connected to their own
life experiences. As an artist teaching art, I encourage students to critically
question their choices, to welcome and trust their intuition, and to take
risks. By nourishing individual thinking and creating an environment in which
art can be
enthusiastically appreciated and constructively criticized, I hope to spark
the beginning of a lasting cycle which involves a fresh way of seeing and
a self-motivated quest for knowledge.
