As an artist, I embrace both traditional and experimental concepts to create sculpture and drawings that highlight poignant conflicting moments in life. In my art, an issue that has been central to my work, has been about striking a tension between ideas of "awareness" and "innocence". I want my work to flip flop between the "absurd", and the "rational" the "dark", and the "light", and between the "gravity of awareness", and the "buoyancy of innocence". By bringing these opposing realities together in a humorous yet poignant way, I hope to animate the bizarre and perplexing facets of our own human condition, and to call attention to the struggles in our own lives.
