In the spring of 2002, I started photographing in extreme close-up and making combinations which for me represent the "point of transformation" between human and animal. At the same time I started using a color plotter at Jesup, as means of possible output for my students' digital combinations. This led to my printing these close-up combinations three by
six feet and larger. The resulting image, for me was very seductive. I continue to print these large images on all sorts of different media
including but not limited to: a few different types of canvas, silk and backlit transparency film.
