I am completing my dissertation in the Department of Anthropology at Johns Hopkins University. I have taught classes on gender, sexuality and law; witnessing in anthropology; the life cycle in cross-cultural perspective; the anthropology of work; and race and medicine in the U.S. My dissertation project focuses on how the law and medicine constitute forensic science as it is used in hospital-based sexual assault interventions in Baltimore, MD.
